Update 12-24-20

HELLO, BOYS!

I'M BAAAAACK

(well... on newgrounds, at least.)

Yeah I know, it's been a while since I posted anything here. I'm surprised that it's already almost Christmas too! Time really does fly when you're stuck in quarantine, almost like December's trying to get this year out of the way already. Of course, I know we all want this year out of the way by now, but we still have a long, rocky road before then...

In case you haven't read the last newspost, I kind of distanced myself from social media for a while because I was pretty busy with college, I've been trying to cope with this insanity going on with the virus spreading and all that, and I was feeling overwhelmed with social media in general. Just some personal stuff and all.

So, to end the year off right, after a few months of being offline and finishing up my 3rd semester of college, I spent the past several days polishing up the Christmas thing I made last year by fixing a few shots that seem a bit rough around the edges. Just a little something for you to enjoy this year.

And it's going to premiere on YouTube for the first time tomorrow, at 2:00 PM CST!

I hope you all enjoy this revised version of the short once it premieres! (hopefully COPPA doesn't cop down on this one)

But yeah, that's pretty much it for this year. Hope you all have a safe Christmas, and a hopefully happy new year.

i'm going to take a break from social media to focus on my own life and well-being.

i haven't been feeling mentally well for the past several months and i think a break would be a good idea to help get myself back in order.

i dunno when i'll be back, but hopefully not for too long

Originally this Danny Elfman inspired track was going to be used in a haunted mansion level in a game I was making back in 2018, using instruments from Conker's Bad Fur Day. But since that old project got shelved, I thought this would be a good time to finish this track up and share it publicly for your ghoulish listening pleasures.

lately i've been leaning towards straight up deleting my twitter page

i'm tired of all the drama, tired of the insanely political garbage, tired of seeing people act passive-aggressive towards people, even innocent people who are just simply questioning or disagreeing with something.

it really brings out the absolute worst in people

it's that i've actually been kinda nervous to post there anymore??

like i really can't take the pressure of millions of eyes on that site, waiting for me to slip up or something

it's really not worth sticking around with the fear of being "cancelled" on twitter, being looked at as a joke, or something for people to tear apart

especially for having an honest opinion on something, like i've seen others get torn apart for that on twitter, even when they don't intend for any harm, or malliciousness

especially for like cartoons and stuff

ever since 2020 started the site's got even more aggressive than it already was

looking back at my older posts there, it seemed like i was more lax and free posting there, but now i feel like i'm on thin ice whenever i post there

and the site's gotten to my head several times during my last few months of school this year, i was so focused on twitter drama i couldn't focus on making art, really

in fact, twitter motivated me less to even make art, or even express myself outside of discord

which is why there's been gaps between my posts here and there

yeah, twitter's pretty much taken a huge toll on my mental health, really

and i feel like if i were to finally let go of my twitter page it'd be like getting a huge weight off my back

so, that's it

i just really want to get out of that shithole for good

besides, i'm more active on discord, and i'm currently planning on creating a new server so i can meet other artists and maybe see some new people

but yeah, that's pretty much all i wanted to say today
